Shake the Riverbed is an ambitious publication by the artist duo mountaincutters, offering an in-depth insight into their multidisciplinary practice. After ten years of intensive research, with nearly one hundred presentations in Belgium and abroad, the need arose to bring this work together — not as a closed archive, but as a living document that forges new connections between media, collaborations, and exhibitions. The book will show a wide array of things done and lived in the past, but also ongoing projects and new developments in the future. With critical new essays and earlier writings, the book shows a current state of affairs in the career of this upcoming duo.
