This book is intended for professional designers and design students, to help them improve their formgiving skills. A large number of inspirational techniques is presented in three categories: rational, intuitive and contemplative. These offer designers a choice of approaches to stimulate their inspiration and to generate creative solutions for a product's form.
Jan Corremans is associate professor Product Development at the Faculty of Design Sciences of the University of Antwerp. He is responsible for several bachelor and master courses, including Product & Communication and Advanced Product Design.
Maaike Mulder-Nijkamp is lecturer/researcher Industrial Design Engineering with the University of Twente, the Netherlands. She is responsible for several bachelor and master courses, including Design Sketching and Graphic Language of Products.
