UFO Reports

The earliest civilian reports of UFO sightings drew on military intelligence materials and set the terms for all later debates. The case is set out through two studies, first, the claim and denial of the reality of flying saucers in the early 1950s, second, the life history of the first «contactee», who came to prominence in the same period.
