Land and Labour Relations in South-West Bangladesh

This book analyses different forms of relations between labourers and employers in rural areas, and the bases of such relations, in order to show how the various forms of labour relations are used as mechanisms of control and as a means of exploitation by the employers in rural areas of Bangladesh. The book also investigates how the labourer-employer relationship changes over time and the implications of these changes by analysing tenurial relations, various types of labour relations (including migration) and state intervention.
