Early Italian Painting Vol. I

Edward Garrison's 1949 index on Romanesque Italian panel painting set the standard. His four-volume work (1953-1962) is a significant research contribution to Italian medieval painting (11th-13th centuries). These two volumes collect his post-1945 articles, supplementing earlier works and updating the Index of Italian Romanesque Panel Paintings.
